“A customized floral concept makes a wedding deeply personal and unique. We choose flowers to match the couple’s style, the venue and the color palette. This creates an overall aesthetic that significantly contributes to the mood and ambiance, rounding off the celebration. With the right flowers and decor, you can set special accents and give the celebration a truly personal touch.” 

When should couples ideally begin planning their wedding florals, and what should they bring to the first consultation? 

“For complete wedding decor, we recommend scheduling an initial consultation about six months before the big day to discuss the most important questions, wishes and venue details. If you only need a bridal bouquet, reaching out about two weeks in advance is usually sufficient. Around two weeks before the celebration, we finalize the specific flower selection and details with the couple. For the first meeting, it is helpful to bring any details you already know – such as the date, times, venue and table quantities or shapes. Inspiration pictures are absolutely welcome but not a must, as we will find beautiful ideas and solutions together during the consultation.” 

How do you coordinate the choice of flowers and colors with the couple’s individual style, the bridal gown and the chosen venue? 

“Various factors come into play here. We start by determining the given colors, such as those from the suit and the wedding dress and see how they can be combined with the couple’s color and style preferences. We then apply our expertise regarding color, style, symbolism, seasonality and quality. This allows us to create a cohesive design that beautifully connects and completes all these elements.” 

The bridal bouquet is one of the most important accessories. Which bouquet shapes and styles complement different wedding dress silhouettes?  

What practical tips do you have for brides on handling their bouquet so it looks natural in photos and stays fresh throughout the day? 

“For photos, the bouquet looks best when held loosely at belly button height. This keeps your posture looking natural while ensuring the wedding dress remains fully visible. To keep the flowers fresh all day, store the bouquet in a cool place and only take it out of the water right before the ceremony. It also helps to put it back in water whenever it is not being used. If the weather is very hot, we have a few little tricks up our sleeve, such as pinning the bouquet rather than tying it.” 

How does the season influence the choice of flowers and which stems do you recommend for the four seasons? 

“Seasonality, weather and environmental factors play a massive role. Non-seasonal flowers might be available, but they often come in lower quality and at very high prices. For example, garden roses in a rainy summer might get spotted, or a warm spring could mean peonies bloom early. That is why we always do the final floral review shortly before the wedding when these factors are easier to assess.”  

What current trends in wedding florals and bridal bouquets are you seeing most frequently right now?

“Natural, loosely tied bridal bouquets are incredibly popular right now. Many couples desire soft, pastel tones like cream, apricot or rosé combined with greenery and seasonal blooms. Sustainable wedding floristry using regional and seasonal flowers is also becoming increasingly important. For decor, we frequently see a modern, natural style featuring prominent floral installations in the room rather than many small arrangements.” 

Which floral details, like boutonnieres, flower crowns or floral accessories for the gown, are particularly popular at the moment? 

“Boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen are highly requested right now. Many couples want these to seamlessly match the bridal bouquet and overall decor. Delicate blooms woven into the hair or fine flower crowns are also a frequent request because they look so beautifully natural and romantic.” 

How do you use floral installations, table arrangements and larger displays to create a personal and cohesive atmosphere at a wedding?
