TELL US ABOUT YOUR LOVE STORY
We met online, and our first date was in Basel, Switzerland, in January 2021. Since the moment we saw each other, we knew that we wanted to be together.
Inan proposed to me at a rose garden in July 2022, so it came as no surprise that we decided to get married in a garden! I chose a wedding dress that showcased flowers and leaves to represent the rose garden. The gown’s floral motifs and leaves also reminded me of the tree we bought together in the beginning of our relationship, once we became exclusive, which made it that much more special.
DESCRIBE YOUR BRIDAL STYLE. TELL US ABOUT YOUR DRESS SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.
For my bridal gown, I wanted a mix of modern and classic styles. The All Who Wander briar gown was simply perfect for me and made me feel so beautiful!
My shopping experience at True Society – Zug was incredible! It was my first wedding dress shopping experience, and my True Crew bridal stylist was amazing — showing me many different styles until I found my dream dress.
IN YOUR OWN WORDS, TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING.
My husband has Turkish roots, and I have Spanish and Swiss roots. It was important for us to involve every culture from our background and to have a multicultural wedding where everyone felt welcomed.
It was an amazing day and turned out just as we hoped! We were able to incorporate all our cultures by dancing the traditional Turkish dance, Halay, played games traditional of Swiss weddings and had Spanish music, as well.
Wedding favors are very important in Turkish weddings, so we decided to have something very significant for our guests. We opted for bärner Mandelbärli, which are legendary candy bears from Bern, the region I’m originally from. They are made out of almonds, which are also part of traditional Spanish weddings.
We had several kids attend our wedding, so it was important for us that they were entertained. I organized kids’ tables with some games, and we hired two girls to play with and babysit them.
Cheers to Jessica & Inan!
