The couple’s love-filled celebration, adorned with roses and classic love songs, was a beautiful tribute to their remarkable journey together. Keep on reading to fall in love with their love.

YASMEEN, TELL US ABOUT YOUR LOVE STORY.

Our story began when Jordan and I were freshmen in high school. Although we had known each other since middle school, it was then that we officially became friends and he became my first and only boyfriend, just as I was his first and only girlfriend.

From that moment on, we were inseparable, sharing every adventure together as best friends. After six beautiful years, Jordan proposed to me on our dating anniversary, August 24, 2023. The proposal took place in Grand Haven, Michigan at the movie theater on a cold winter night, surrounded by love, family and tears of joy.

As I walked down the aisle on our wedding day, Jordan’s eyes filled with tears of happiness and love. Seeing me in my All Who Wander dress, he was overwhelmed with emotion, telling me later that it was the most gorgeous gown he had ever seen. He said it perfectly matched my style and our wedding decor, making the moment even more magical. His reaction, filled with pure joy and admiration, made me feel like the luckiest person in the world.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR DRESS SHOPPING EXPERIENCE AT TRUE SOCIETY.

In the heart of  Grand Rapids, at True Society, I embarked on a journey to find my dream wedding dress. The moment I stepped in the store, I was enveloped by an air of enchantment and grace. Each gown whispered tales of elegance, but one spoke directly to my soul. My dream dress, briar from All Who Wander, was first noticed by my mother-in-law and sisters. It was like a hidden gem. What made the experience even more special was the “yes” moment. The True Crew had me pretend to walk down the aisle in the store after I found my dress. It was a beautiful vision of how my big day would be, filling me with joy and anticipation for the magic to come.

DESCRIBE YOUR BRIDAL STYLE.

On my wedding day, I envisioned myself in a dress that embodied simplicity, elegance and a fitted silhouette. I longed for sleeves and intricate designs, perhaps lace, to add a touch of charm. At True Society, I found my dream dress, adorned with enchanting 3D flower petals, surpassing my wildest dreams. The dress was a perfect reflection of my style—graceful, understated and uniquely me.

As I walked down the aisle, I felt an overwhelming sense of comfort and beauty, as if the dress was an extension of myself. The veil and sleeves were the perfect finishing touches, with the 3D petals continuing throughout, harmonizing beautifully with the red roses and petals that adorned the venue. My dress echoed the décor unintentionally, making me feel extraordinarily special. Roses, my favorite flower, were mirrored in the dress, deepening my love for it and making every moment of my day feel like a dream.

IN YOUR OWN WORDS, TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING.

Our wedding was a dream woven from the threads of our love story, making it an intimate and magical affair. The tables, adorned with my favorite red roses and flickering candlesticks, cast a romantic glow on our closest friends and family.

The venue, The Ballroom at McKay, was timeless and elegant. The air was filled with the nostalgic melodies of classic 1950s love songs, each note a testament to our journey together. Our first dance to “We Belong Together” by Richie Valens was like a scene from a shared, cherished movie called La Bamba

Though we did not follow any special traditions, we embraced the heartfelt touch of having Jordan’s stepmom officiate our ceremony. Her loving speech, rich with emotion and the essence of our bond, is a memory I will forever treasure. She has been a guiding light in our relationship and her words during the ceremony felt like a warm embrace. The most unforgettable moment was seeing each other at the end of the aisle, eyes locked, hearts full, a poignant reminder of how far we’ve come since our high school days.
