This couple conceptualized their wedding based on their love story that started at Kansas State University. The result was a wedding that is classic, romantic and totally personal. If you love soft color palettes and timeless style— buckle up, this wedding at The Guild KC has it all and then some!
Juliane, the beautiful bride, opted for Essense of Australia Style D2761, a minimalist, romantic wedding gown that flawlessly complemented the timeless aesthetic of their big day. Fred, the groom, looked sharp in his classic suit, while the bridal party was dressed in the wedding’s color palette — white, blush and accents of black. It was a stylish wedding day that will stand the test of time!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR LOVE STORY
My husband Fred and I met during college at Kansas State University, where we were introduced by mutual friends. We dated through college and moved to Texas together after graduating. After three years of dating, Fred proposed to me on my birthday while walking across my favorite bridge that overlooks the Dallas, Texas skyline.
This was followed by a surprise engagement party with our closest friends and family. It was so special as we had not seen many of these people in a long time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a long weekend full of celebrations, and we loved every minute of it!

I really wanted a dress that would be elegant, simple, and timeless — something I could look back on in the future and still absolutely love. It was also really important to me to be comfortable and able to dance. Essense of Australia Style D2761 was everything I had dreamed of—and as a bonus, it had pockets!
I absolutely loved my dress shopping experience at True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal – Kansas City! My True Crew bridal stylist was AMAZING. She was really attentive to what I was envisioning and made the experience as a whole so enjoyable for me and those who came to my appointment. .
I had a couple of dresses in mind that I had seen on True Society’s Instagram account so my stylist pulled those, as well as others she thought I would like, or look good on me. I ended up loving the dress she chose for me!
My stylist, Stacy, also helped me personalize the dress even more with a belt, jewelry and veil ideas. From setting up my dress shopping appointment to choosing my dream dress and even the final pick-up, the entire process was so fun and smooth. I cannot thank the team at True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal – Kansas City enough!
IN YOUR OWN WORDS, TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING.
Since Fred and I met at K-State, and our time there was such a big part of our relationship, we wanted to include some of our favorite places in Manhattan, Kansas, in the wedding decorations. Our seating chart was titled “Our Favorite People at Our Favorite Places,” and each table was the name of a restaurant, bar or K-State campus staple.
We had graphics made for each place, and these were featured on the seating chart and on the table name cards. It was so cute and simple, and something that we and our K-State friends really loved.
Cheers to Juliane & Fred!
