True Bride, Faith and her groom, Stephen, gave us an inside look at their very intimate wedding day in Ludington, Michigan. Filled with rustic charm and beautiful scenery, their venue, Trillium Creek Rustic Barn, provided a gorgeous outdoor setting for their special day.

After she visited True Society – Grand Rapids, Faith opted for the stunning Essense of Australia Style D3308 for their wedding day. The gown was adorned with vintage-inspired lace patterns and intricate beaded details with a subtle shimmer that enhanced the bride’s beauty and created an exquisite look from top to bottom.

Faith and Stephen did their best to take advantage of every second of their wedding day, filling it with a plethora of personalized details, fun activities for their guests and heartwarming memories. My husband and I met at our local gym. He had recently moved back home after serving in the military as a Marine. He approached me in the gym, shook my hand and introduced himself. We went to dinner that evening!

We’ve done everything together ever since. We purchased our first home after three months of dating and have had endless pajama parties ever since.

My husband proposed to me in the middle of our kitchen, completely out of the blue, and it meant so much more to me. I didn’t need a big, over-the-top proposal. Being at home in our favorite space, just the two of us, meant so much more to me.

When I began my search for my dream bridal gown, I knew I wanted something elegant, sexy and one-of-a-kind. Essense of Australia Style D3308 happened to be the very first wedding dress I tried on at my appointment at True Society – Grand Rapids. Every gown I tried on afterward just didn’t compare to it.

The beautiful lace, tulle and beading details on this gown, along with the plunging neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves, checked all the boxes of what I wanted in a dress. I felt more beautiful than I ever had in my life on my wedding day.

My husband was speechless when he saw me in my dress, and it was nothing like he had expected me to pick. He made me feel like the most beautiful bride!

I had the BEST experience at True Society – Grand Rapids and was able to find my dream dress with the help of my incredible True Crew stylist, Emma. Every staff member was informative and friendly, making me feel so beautiful and comfortable throughout my appointment.

The store was clean and bright, and it had a beautiful selection of dresses to choose from. Everyone was very positive and welcoming from the moment we walked in— It was truly an experience I will never forget!

IN YOUR OWN WORDS, TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING.

Our wedding colors were terracotta, ivory and gold. We decorated using pampas grass, eucalyptus, touches of velvet and wood-dyed florals.

The entire wedding day was so special and personal to us. We chose to hold a small, intimate ceremony outdoors for close family, followed by a larger reception including extended family and friends.

My husband and I exchanged vows privately following our ceremony inside a farmhouse that was attached to our venue’s property. We also planted a tree for the unity portion of our ceremony, mixing soil from both our parents’ homes. We now have that tree planted outside our own home to watch grow for several years.

Guests were able to leave us voice messages on our audio guestbook, and they also participated in a sip and solve crossword puzzle based on facts about my husband and me. I felt that all our guests were having just as much fun as we were all throughout the night.

My husband had written a letter to his future wife when he was young, so we had his letter on display next to a photo of me in my mother’s wedding dress as a young girl. That was definitely a special touch our guests loved. Overall, our wedding day was truly everything we wanted it to be and more!
