MEGAN, TELL US ABOUT YOUR PARTNER. HOW DID YOU MEET?
Aaron and I initially met as neighbors during our freshman year of college at Northwest Missouri State University. We reconnected our junior year, started talking and hit it off from there.
On our first date, he picked me up and had all his Christmas gifts in his car, since he was adamant about going back to our college after the date.
Fast forward to the proposal which was on a random spring day when we were driving and running errands. We stopped at a QuikTrip gas station and from there, he took over driving, blindfolded me and took me to Kaw Point Park in Kansas City. I took the blindfold off, and he was on one knee in front of the city skyline. I had no clue the proposal was coming!

I didn’t really have an idea of what my bridal style was before my appointment. I figured since I was smaller, I would get a more tight-fitting dress, but outside of that, I had a completely open mind.
The True Crew at True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal in Kansas City was great and easy to work with! They provided a fantastic experience from start to finish and made sure that I had the perfect dress, Martina Liana Style 1059, for my special day!

Aaron was excited and happy the whole day! He said I looked great and was constantly smiling.
We personalized our wedding day by incorporating friendship bracelets with each guest’s name. We also had photos of each of our grandparents so they could be with us and remembered throughout the wedding. Our longest and closest friends helped us plan, organize and set up the entire wedding from start to finish.
The most special moment of the big day was the reception when we had everybody, from work associates to friends that we’d known for years and family members all dancing around, eating food and having a blast.
After everyone ate, Aaron and I changed into matching Nike outfits and continued the party. This was something we both had talked about and figured would be fun. It was a change from the regular formal attire and allowed for some cool photos with us celebrating in regular outfits.
