AUTUMN, TELL US ABOUT YOUR PARTNER.  HOW DID YOU MEET? 

I like to call it serendipity. It was the first day of my biology class at the University of Kansas, in the biggest lecture hall on campus. I was so nervous, not knowing any of the hundreds of people in the lecture hall. Then, a boy with curly blonde hair sat in front of me. Without saying a word or knowing his name, I texted my best friend that I just saw the person I was going to marry. I truly did hear the wedding bells when I saw Jay.

Too scared to talk to him, I watched him from afar until one night out, I saw him! I instantly made the first move and from that moment on, our hearts were growing together. 

One of Jay’s and my favorite places to spend time together is our deck. It’s a place where we gather with our dog, our friends and with each other. It was no surprise that this is where Jay decided to propose. He had it all set up with lights and lanterns. They glowed against our big trees that were showing off autumn leaves for fall.

He had taken me out on a date all day long while our loved ones were setting up the proposal and the engagement party at home on the deck. After Jay proposed, all our loved ones came out of hiding and celebrated with us all night.

I wanted something timeless with a wow factor. As soon as I saw the pearl detailing on the wedding gown Oxford Street Style T2PA13551, I knew that it was the one.
On my wedding day, I truly felt like the most beautiful person in the world!

I’m generally pretty low maintenance, but I was giving GLAMOUR on my wedding day. 
I opted not to have a second dress because I truly wanted to spend all the time I could in my wedding dress.

True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal in Kansas City was my very first stop on my bridal gown journey. I honestly had no idea what to expect. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with all the different wedding dress options, but the True Crew made me feel so beautiful and confident.

My wedding dress, Oxford Street Style T2PA13551 was the second one I tried on, but I wanted to try more on before I said “Yes.” I think my bridal stylist and I both knew that the second dress was my dress. Without asking, she went back and got the dress of my dreams!

Jay and I had a first look before our ceremony. When he finally saw my dress, he instantly started crying. The rest of the day he couldn’t stop complimenting me.

Jay and I always wanted to have a wedding that felt genuine. I can honestly say that everything was truly us. We have different tastes in music but were able to agree on a lot of music for the reception. The biggest hit was our heart-shaped sunglasses, which were a nod to our trip to London when we went to the Harry Styles concert. 

I think the most special memory was having our loved ones there. I have a huge Hispanic family, and Jay is from out of state, so to be able to mesh our families was truly magical!
