My husband, Chris, is one of a kind. He’s truly a ray of sunshine and adds so much to my life! We met at work and became instant friends. Things developed from there and we’ve pretty much spent every day together for the past three-and-a-half years.
The proposal was a dream—we went to dinner and when we got home, I was surprised by flowers and candles everywhere in our house! He had printed out a bunch of photos as well and had them hanging everywhere. It was very sweet and intimate.

My dress shopping experience at True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal in Lenexa, Kansas was a DREAM! I booked an appointment during a Martina Liana trunk show and got to try on so many amazing dresses. My favorite part was putting on “the one” for a second time because it truly felt like it was made for me. Everyone at True Society was so helpful and genuinely excited that I was able to find such a special dress!

Chris was stunned when he first saw me in my gown. He’s not the most emotional guy, but I brought him to tears during our first look! It was amazing and one of the best parts of our wedding day.
Our wedding day was by far our favorite day yet. We were surrounded by the people we love most. We felt so loved and supported the entire day, which felt personal to our story. We have so many people in our lives who have been cheering us on since day one and our wedding day was a physical representation of that.
One of my favorite parts of our day was getting to do a first look with Chris’ dad, John. He has been a major positive influence in my life for several years, I knew him before I even knew Chris! After losing my dad to cancer over a year ago, I knew there was no one else but John that could step into that role. It was truly an honor having him walk me down the aisle!
