For my husband and I, timing was truly everything! We randomly met on a play date in 6th grade, and immediately we were smitten. Fast forward to middle school; it just so happened that we reconnected in 7th-grade science class!

We “dated” 8th grade into our freshman year of high school and stayed in the same friend circles over the years. After college, we reconnected for one date prior to him informing me that he was going to study abroad for the next two to three years!

While we didn’t stay connected over that time, we were lucky enough to reconnect through a mutual friend just one month after he returned and immediately hit it off. We were engaged just two and a half years later.

Unlike many brides, I hadn’t even pictured myself as a bride! Going into my wedding day, I wanted to look like the best version of myself.
