When Erin Stepped\u00a0into\u00a0True\u00a0Society\u00a0in\u00a0Kansas City<\/a>, she\u00a0knew\u00a0exactly\u00a0what she was looking for:\u00a0a wedding dress worthy of\u00a0her\u00a0once-in-a-lifetime celebration.\u00a0Her bridal appointment\u00a0felt\u00a0stress-free and ended up being one of her favorite parts of wedding planning.\u00a0She found\u00a0THE dress\u00a0in\u00a0Martina Liana Style 1510<\/a>,\u00a0falling in love with its intricate beading and timeless design.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Jack and I met when we were both students at the University of Kansas.\u00a0We were only 20\u00a0years\u00a0old but\u00a0knew we would be in\u00a0each other’s\u00a0lives forever.\u00a0For our wedding website, Jack wrote our love story, and I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0think anyone could tell it better than he did. It begins with the very first words he said to me\u00a0when we met at a pool. He said,\u00a0\u201cIs it cold?\u201d From\u00a0me\u00a0dipping my toe into the water\u00a0on a late September night to\u00a0six years later, naming our dogs\u00a0after the very cross streets where we met, our story has come full circle.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

WHAT WAS YOUR PROPOSAL LIKE?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

Jack proposed in 2024 on the front porch of our home\u00a0shortly\u00a0after we moved in. Our two golden retrievers watched us from the windows\u00a0as we got engaged.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

I wanted my wedding dress to be timeless, have lots of beading and be worthy of a once-in-a-lifetime moment. I also wanted my dress to feel incredibly bridal and unlike anything I would ever wear again. Weddings come with so many details and hopes for everything to go perfectly, but my dress was the one thing I never worried about. Wearing it made me feel completely like myself; it really was perfect!<\/p>\n\n

I\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0say enough good things about my experience at True Society.\u00a0The True Crew was amazing and\u00a0made the\u00a0entire\u00a0process so fun and stress-free! My stylist was patient, listened to my\u00a0vision\u00a0and\u00a0ultimately\u00a0found\u00a0my\u00a0dress.\u00a0Picking out your wedding gown is such an important moment in your bridal journey,\u00a0and my stylist made it so enjoyable for\u00a0both\u00a0me and my family! Every gown was\u00a0so\u00a0beautiful,\u00a0and it was a day I will never forget. I\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0stop thinking about my appointment\u2014I wish I could relive it all\u00a0over\u00a0again.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

HOW DID JACK REACT WHEN\u00a0HE\u00a0SAW YOU IN YOUR WEDDING DRESS?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

We did a first look in front of the resort\u2019s beautiful white staircase, surrounded by tropical plants. It was an intimate yet dramatic setting\u2014exactly what I had envisioned. He didn\u2019t know what to expect when it came to my dress, but he thought it was beautiful. Seeing me before the ceremony also helped him relax and he was so ready to get married!<\/p>\n\n

TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING.\u202f<\/strong>\u202f\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

We got married in Ko Olina, Oahu, Hawaii, a place we had visited a couple of times with my\u00a0family\u00a0and\u00a0immediately\u00a0fell in love with. We\u00a0couldn\u2019t\u00a0imagine getting married anywhere else.\u00a0We had always wanted a smaller wedding with our absolute favorite people. We all got to spend a\u00a0week\u00a0in paradise together.\u00a0Our wedding day turned into a wedding week of\u00a0celebrating! We had a lei exchange, fire dance and signature drinks that were named after our two sweet dogs\u2014we of course\u00a0couldn\u2019t\u00a0leave them out!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

WHAT WAS THE MOST SPECIAL MEMORY FROM THE DAY?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

My absolute favorite memory of the day was looking around during the reception and seeing everyone having fun. I\u00a0couldn\u2019t\u00a0believe everyone had\u00a0traveled\u00a0all the way to Hawaii to celebrate our love.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
